CONESTOGA CIRCLE

This home was built in the 1980’s. It is in a wonderful part of Bozeman. Close to town with a large lot. It was in need of more useful living space. The main floor layout did not flow together well. The dining room or main eating area was not well defined. The walking traffic pattern was also awkward and disrupted the furniture layout. The vaulted ceiling had structural issues from a previous renovation that needed to be addressed. We were able to redesign the existing space and attach additions to make a top notch home.

With reconfiguring the existing floor plan and adding two additions we were able to:

  • Improve the traffic flow
  • Make the space more usable
  • Have an established eating area
  • Capture the mountain views
  • Improve the exterior curb appeal
  • Increase the storage area

Moving the master bed and bathroom to the first floor is a much desired feature in many homes, especially when planning for your later years in life. The master shower also has a curb less entry for ease of getting in and out. In the sun room installing large windows and a 10 foot wide glass sliding door brings the outside in. A very open feel while relaxing in the room. The front porch and awning over the master bed window provided a much needed face lift to the exterior curb appeal. By adding the roof over the front and back entry’s we gained good protection from the rain and snow. The mud room and laundry room additions included much needed storage space and a well thought out transition from the garage to the main house. There was reclaimed southern yellow pine used for the post and beam features. The wide plank wood floors and tongue and groove wood ceilings were also reclaimed S.Y.P. The floors have a nice brown stain while the ceiling were left natural for a light look.
